so everything is installed, and registers with the Comp .... the mic is registering on the A.I. also ....
but its not recording in cool edit...
they gave us sum software.... M-audio live .... u can hear the mic on that, NOT in cool edit, nor in windows shitty little sound recorder is it recording....
any one know wtf is going on?

and yes, i went into the cool edit properties and switched the input/outputs to the new hardware

in your audio hardware settings in CEP, do you have the FastTrack set up as the default input device??? or is it still set to your old soundcard???
