Just copped this beautiful thing earlier today, got my drivers installed, opened up FL, tested it, it works and then I went and tried to assign each pad with a sound. Followed the directions it gave me(the note number one), been sitting here trying to do this but it doesn't work for some reason. Any idea to why it doesn't work?
hmm... iv e only tried it out. never had to set one up with FL before. It's a shame tho cus i just peeped M-audio's new pad. it looks sicker than this one lol. peep it...

Do you have FL Studio 5? they added the FPC plugin in that version which helps you route midi pads to fl studio. u might want to upgrade. also, did u got to the fl midi options and select the mpd as the input controller?
lol, looks nice but it's a little too much money wise for me right now.Originally Posted by ...Opey...
No, I've got 4. I'm not trying to upload MIDI data into the pads, I'm trying to upload audio/wav sounds(hi-hats, kicks, snares, etc. that I found online).
ah... i see. I don't think u can do that. I think you can with fl 5 tho. thats why they made the new plugin.
also, theres a $25 rebate you can download and print out to send in for your MPD. i found it while i was looking for info for u.

EDIT: ok you definitely need FL5 to do what you want to do. This is the new feature they added. It can be controller by your midi controller:

Heard the sequencer on the MPCs are dope, but the MPD is basically just the pads. Check the PM Opey coming soon.Originally Posted by 2 Time
the computer setup is better... or CAN be better with the right specs, software, plugins, midi controllers etc. the mpc is older. It's been around since before computer setups. Also, the buttons on the MPD arent as nice as the ones on teh MPC. But the maudio trigger finger is supposed to be really nice.
Anyone know how to assisn audio/wavs into the pads if it is possible in FL?
